Shastriya Sangeet is the classical music of India. It is a music that is mostly improvised, but steeped in tradition of Raag and Taal, frameworks of melody and rhythm.

Rahul Pophali is one of the most versatile tabla players in today’s younger generation. His journey with the tabla started at the age of seven and he has since then progressed to advanced training in the Punjab gharana style under Pt. Nishikant Barodekar, a senior disciple of Ustad Alla Rakha and Ustad Zakir Hussain.
