I tell you how it is very simply. I am here alone, without my family, I don’t understand anything. If foreigners visait us in Iraq we treat them as our guests. We give people a chance. If you come here, people are suspicious of you, they look through your things. There is so much pressure. What is happening with people here? I am not coming here on holiday!
We organise our lives in the camp ourselves. It could be worse, for sure. Hygiene and security however, is a problem. The interview process is too slow, food is really not good and we are stuck here without knowing when we can leave or what will happen to us. It is dangerous here in the camp. Sometimes the police comes in the morning and wakes us up with the dogs. They look through our things looking for drugs. Not even the Americans did this in Iraq.
