Today is Sung Sim Jang’s 9th day of hungerstrike.

The 42 year old is from a village 40 minutes outside of Gangjeong. For 13 years she worked as a taxi driver in the region.

Outraged by what is happening in Gangjeong, she decided she has no other choice than to enter a hunger strike.

On the fourth day she got her hair shaved off in protest

She is all day, every day in front of the gate.

On her 8th day

and she is still going strong and not going to give up
